Cead Mead Failte is an Irish greeting meaning one hundred thousand welcomes. It would be used more by businesses rather than in conversation. When spoonflower, a print on demand company turned 10, they had 10 prompts to use in Instagram posts. This is what I used for day 1 where the prompt was say hello.
One of the companies in Dublin that do screen printing and riso printing occasionally do open calls with certain themes and they run an exhibition and do a limited edition of the chosen prints. I wasn't successful with my submission but this was in response to a film theme and the film that I chose was Hairspray.
The above image was a submission for an open call for a Riso print exhibition and sale with a theme of Awakenings. The idea was that each morning is a chance for new beginnings.
This image was created as a wedding present. I used a photo of the couple as reference.
